Like Father Like Daughter

Who would have known.  My daughter is taking to football like her Daddy.  It started with just being spirited with wearing the SJC jersey to school on dress-down days.  She didn't want to wear anything else.  I thought that was really cute.  Then after we came back from Seattle with all the 20 year old football cards her daddy bought, her real passion came out!  She loves helping Coach sort the new cards with his old collection from childhood.  Just seeing them together makes me smile.  It's like they are the best of friends with the same interests!  My little girl knows so much about football players - past and present.  She also could tell you how much the football cards are worth, her favorite part of sorting through the cards.

So now I have tons of football cards around my diningroom.  They are in stacks all over the place.  I also have 20 year old gum as well.  It has been tested to see if it's still chewable, nope.

On occasion she plays football in PE at school.  She comes home and asks me if I will throw the football around.  For an almost 8 year old girl, she's pretty good.  She's got the spiral thing going on occasion.

Not to mention she likes playing NCAA football with Coach as well.  It's rather new to our family and A beat Coach the first few times.

I imagine when this year's football season comes, A will be paying more attention.
